All this positive smoke going for us surrounding Kaluma and Nelson, and then we get hit with a total shite sandwich

Hearing that about Sherrell really sucks, but for next year I'd much rather have two proven players like Nelson and Kaluma than a couple of unknowns like Stevenson and Miranda.

I would too, but that's three of the better options we've seemingly lost significant ground with before either of Nelson and Kaluma even make a visit. I want to believe all these wannabe insiders, but I haven't seen any of the actual insiders hint that we've landed one of them or that we are even the favorites to land them.

From Trilly Donovan

quote:

Nate Oats is swinging for the fences in the bottom of the ninth. Heavily involved with Grant Nelson, Arthur Kaluma and Jarin Stevenson. I think he’ll end up with at least one of them, maybe two.

That’s encouraging, but how reputable is this guy?

And that's one of the guys I'd like to hear it from. Talk about timing

Nobody gets 1000. But he's pretty damn good. Good enough that I've seen Reddit threads trying to figure out who he is, since he's been right so many times.

Seems to be a burner account of someone pretty well connected.

Sherrell was a heavy Bama lean but things seem to have opened up since the staff changes.

Read a recent interview with Sherrill on On3. He said that new coach Claunch is his designated contact now at Alabama, but that he and Oats talk all the time, and he loves everything about Oats' system and how he is preparing players for the pros. He said he is 50/50 on reclassifying in early December, so maybe we should leave leave an open spot there as we did with Cosby. I assume Sherrill would play soon after enrolling though. He was trying to reclassify for the fall but apparently was short some credits.

We just lost Hodgson and Pettway I would saying losing ground is to be expected until Claunch and Murphy can start building their own relationships

Oh I don't think it's the staff's fault, but that doesn't make it any less sucky intel to receive.

Trilly saying we get at least one and maybe two of those guys is great to hear. If we somehow got Nelson and Kaluma on board we will have a hell of a roster and won't have to rely on any young players besides Griffen, who played enough last year that he is far from green.

Harper saying Nelson may have some grade concerns.

Torres hinting that Nelson may be visiting as soon as this weekend.

I havent trusted much of what Harper said since he made the prediction that JD Davison was gonna choose the g league over Alabama.

If his grade concerns were that bad he probably would have stayed in the draft. He would have gotten pick up by a g league team at minimum.

I think we would be a great fit for him cause unlike some other older transfers he actually has a very good chance to get drafted next year if he has a good season and we are a perfect offense for him to showcase his skillset. He would for sure be able to come here and start too.

Facts Crimson. I think the body of work Nate Oats has at DEVELOPING his players should be an eye opener especially to Grant Nelson, Arthur Kaluma, and Jarin Stevenson!

Nate Oats has developed two guys (Brandon & Noah) that's going to be drafted in the first round...both Kaluma & Nelson have some similarities with those two first rounders.
