And yet we have won more tourney games than them in the last 20 years ?? It's almost like being in the ACC pays off for them in two sports, even if in different ways.

A trip to the final four vs 5 one and done tourney trips absolutely sits better with me. Tells me they're getting in because of the politics of deciding who gets in, vs their actual ability. Which further emboldens me to say SC has had more than one deserving team, based on ability, that were snubbed due to politics. I'll then finish with the conclusion that much of clem's athletic success comes from their political savvy, rather than the magic of keeping it all in the family as they like to suggest. I think that conclusion also goes a long way in explaining how a power 5 school of major national prominence can't afford a track and field team like other state powerhouses Winthrop, Lander and Benedict.

Before 2017, we hadn't won a tournament game since 1973. And our two most memorable trips between those dates were losses to a 15 seed and a 14 seed in 1997 and 1998. We are literally one of the worst college basketball programs in the modern era. It's embarrassing that Clemson makes the tournament regularly and we go once a generation.
