How many years was it after the 1976 season when the SEC had Miss State forfeit the Kentucky game and retroactively give UK a "share" with Georgia who trounced them?

It was a couple years I believe. But had we chosen 1976 for probation instead of 1977 (yes, they were given the choice) we'd have won/shared the SEC at 6-0. The Sugar Bowl could have been UK vs. Alabama to decide it. In 1977 we trounced UGA 33-0 in Athens and beat a good LSU team soundly. So either way an SEC Championship. One taken by the NCAA another given.
At least when Fran Curci cheated he knew what he was doing.
