No. No, they wouldn't. Y

bullshite. No way people would go to each other and say, "Hey man, remember that random season where we went 0-2 the Supers? Great year."

Oppose that to, "Hey man, remember that time we won the SEC-T?"

I guarantee you on average the latter is more memorable than the former.

Super regional wins? Sure. Super regional losses? Not unless it was something spectacularly bad (ULL).

You're crazy if you think people remember what happened in '06, '07, '16, etc. as some great accomplishment as to winning any sort of conference title.

And they don't remember any sec tournament wins because we barely have any! Plus, I'm not talking about random 1-2 wins in the tournament. I'm talking about actually winning it. I still very much remember the last out in 2004 vs Vanderbilt.

Answer this did we win the SEC tournament in 2010,11 or 2012?

Oh good God. How many examples do you need to know that it is possible to win both?

Tanner is gone and has been for nearly a decade now if you can believe it. Gamecocks fans are too accepting of getting our asses kicked in these things because of Tanner has if that'll work for other coaches.

Yet you think they would say " I'm sure glad we won the SEC tournament even though we we went 0-2 in the regional".
No, they would say " winning the tournament was a fluke".

Being in a Super means you're one of the final 16 teams playing. Winning a conference tournament means jack.

Show me 1 example of South Carolina ever doing it besides 2004( the only year we won sec tournament and made it to the CWS).

You're using hope and dreams as a base argument while I'm using actual history.

You don't seem to understand your season is based off of how far you go in the NCAA tournament. Going 0-2 in a Super Regional is still a better achievement then winning a conference tournament.

Ray Tanner, the Baseball HOF coach, used this approach because he clearly understood that the big prize ?? was in the NCAA tournament.

Who has the chance to be ranked in the final 16 of the polls a conference tournament team that fails in a regional or a team that won a regional but lost in the supers? That's all that matters where you end up at the end of the year.

Regional Champion > Sec tournament Champion.
