Please tell me about this. I was in Home Depot the other day (another thread, I know ) and saw one of those which looked like a pellet grill/smoker for charcoal. It seems as though it would work really well. Anything to report as I think these are relatively new?

I have really enjoyed mine. It is my first really nice grill...never had a BGE or pellet smoker do I wouldn't know how it compares to those. I have the 560 model but they also have two larger options
Really simple to use though. Just load the hopper and get the coals going and then it has a fan and temp probe that regulates it. It gets up to 700+ in like 10 minutes from being completely cold.
It is relatively new and does have some issues they are trying to fix. I haven't had any issues with mine yet but a lot of the ppl in the Facebook group get their lid switches melted and have to bypass them. The app that is supposed to control the temp sucks apparently, I've never used it.
I've cooked on it probably 20 times since I got it. And for me I would buy it again in a heartbeat. Super easy to use and produces great grill flavor. I used some hickory chunks yesterday on a turkey breast...just stuck them in the hopper vertically and poured charcoal around them. Turned out great.
