re: Jimbo will be 3-1 vs LSU after this season, will that force LSU to make a coaching change?

A&M will be better this year than last year. I feel pretty good about 3-1 vs LSU for Fisher

i know nothing about a&m football. i am interested in learning though.

Wait Mond is great? I thought he was the worst QB ever.

Mond was a good QB but had large limitations to his game - mainly the unwillingness to throw deep. He could, just didn't really want to do that. He became great at ball-control, but there is a reason the majority of the explosive plays were running plays. His replacement will be one of two players - Calzada or King. Calzada has a cannon on his shoulder, and is more of a gunslinger. The favorite is King - who has the athletic ability of Justin Fields (he's an amazing athlete) but is also a coach's son and has great accuracy - extremely football smart. His arm is strong enough, but slinging it around is not his game. Think Plumlee with the ability to throw the football.

King is expected to be the QB, and the A&M offense will be very different as a result

The OL is a little bit of a concern but I have a lot of faith in Henson. His OL went from 84th in his first year, to fourth in his second year with the same players (I think those are the stats). All the departing Seniors had a lot of heart, but their replacements are at least as talented individually. They just need snaps, because OL is the hardest to project. We also run a lot of two TE sets so that will help the new OL.

We will return Spiller/Achane at RB. Spiller played hurt the majority of last year
We have a mixture of young WR's, and some with experience. Some of the younger receivers are hugely talented but have to prove it on the field

And on defense, we return almost everyone, and will rotate young, extremely talented players into the lineup. The scary thing is that most of the "talent" on this team is just now becoming Jr's, and are mostly sophomores and below.

Fisher has now stacked three talented classes in a row. We are recruiting at a level we have not in decades, and 2022 is going to be the first class with on-field results to recruit from. Hence, why we cannot wait for next year. This will be the first time in the SEC we are close to the elite teams talent-wise
