Barker or McElroy???? lol (at least McElroy was hurt)

Have to factor in surrounding talent, especially OL.

Those early 2000 Bama teams had some hellaciously bad OL play.

Not saying any of them were Tua, but when you are running for your life with no ground game and subpar skill players it’s not the same deal as the Saban era.

That's kind of an interesting question. Barker was more of a playmaker in 94. He made some plays in the 92 SECCG tho. He was more of a liability in the national championship game, though.

I'd have to give the props to McElroy too. He made some big plays when it counted in the SECCG too.

I probably have to give the edge to Barker here. Better overall career.

Barker went on to be a pretty good passing QB in 94.
