How is Mike Bobo at developing QB’s? We all know we have a guy with a lot of natural ability but needs some help. Also how good of a recruiter is he? Thanks.

If he goes to Aub it depends on the personnel you have onboard. Best season was 2012 with Aaron Murray.

Your oline will need to be retooled to play his type of offense. Should see an improvement in Nix if he hasn’t developed too many bad habits from bad line play. He did good with serviceable QBs after Murray left as well. You will need some WR’s to develop to help Nix in that offense. Depending on how far the line needs to go to run his offense Tank could have a field day with a serviceable passing attack.

Can Newton - Bob told him to play TE
Nick Marshall - Defensive Back
DeShaun Watson - Didn’t even attempt to recruit

That being said there will be the occasional game where he looks like a genius! But against good competitors or pivotal games his offense will look tired and predictable.

Pretty damn good.

With elite talent, he can build an elite offense with scheme.

At Auburn? Ehhhh. OL play alone would crash and burn against every top 10 opponent.

I think he did a good job while at Georgia. I liked him as an OC, too. My biggest question would be have offenses changed so much since he left and can he keep up? He might can, but sometimes OCs and DCs get so invested in what they learned coming up they struggle to change an appreciable amount.

He also seemed to recruit well.

Honestly? I think he would be a solid hire, but not great. Some fans and players will love him and some will hate him. I loved him when he was at Georgia, but I'm not sure I would want him to come back right now.

He is inconsistent at best, I'll never forgive him for not running todd gurley at the goal line vs south Carolina...

Didn’t Mike have a pretty good QB and team up in Colorado or am I thinking of someone else?

David greene, dj shockley, stafford, and murray were all coached by him. Even hutson Mason and to a lesser extent joe cox were serviceable

He's a damn good QB coach, at least for QBs that fit his offense.

QB development was his strong suit. He got competent QB play from guys like Hutson Mason and Joe Cox, while Aaron Murray set every SEC career passing record.

I also believe that Bobo wasn't allowed to really install his offense until 2011. That was the point where I started noticing a lot more shotgun and more WRs on the field. On a related note, the 2012, 2013, and 2014 offenses were easily the best of the Richt era.
