Yep. Too bad he spurned the top in-state school for a much better program. He could have been a king at Louisiana Tech but I understand why he did it.

I am wondering why wasn't he at LSU?!

He’s no John David Crow.

Peyton Manning was okay in his short NFL stint

I think Ja’Marr Chase is the best ever

I know neither of these two guys amounted to much and could never compare to Smith but I will throw them out there anyway. Bert Jones and Terry Bradshaw.
Alan Faneca, Reggie Wayne and Sam Mills played in the NFL but no doubt don't measure up to Smith.
I mean that Doug Williams guy, it's not like he made NFL history being the first black qb to win the superbowl.
Marshall Faulk was just a bit player in the NFL rushing for over 12,000 yards and all, but what the heck I'll throw him out there as a filler.
No one has ever heard of Ed Reed. Meager 5x NFL all pro. However, there's no doubt he doesn't measure up to Smith.
That darn OP is smart don't cha think ? We're lucky to have his brain on this forum enlightening us all.

Peyton Manning was much better than Smith and his not winning the Heisman was a complete joke.

Devonta is at the bottom of Louisiana greats. This state breeds hall of famers

Chase targets for last : 126 for 84 receptions
Smith targets for this year : 132 for 105 receptions
Smith is the better reciever but chase may have him in measurables

Ok I'll throw out these semi successful La. boys. Kyle Williams. Beckham. Landry. Warrick Dunn, Aeneas Williams. Jake Delhome, Dak Prescott.

I would probably go with Peyton Manning but do whatever you have to do make a thread.
