Might just be me but I found the BCS much more exciting than the CFP. They had computer rankings that balanced with human rankings and the BCS encouraged strengthening your schedule.
The CFP is just a bunch of yahoos who vote.

This is how bad it is. I am now agreeing with an LSU poster.
When it started, the CFP committee was largely (not universally) regarded as a sober, logical, minimally biased group of reasonably plugged in voices. Even Condoleeza Rice was given the benefit of the doubt, despite her qualifications generally being that she was a really big fan of football and had some impressive stuff in a world completely outside of football.
The committee membership changes, but that is to be expected. Thing is, it probably has a finite pool of credibility and goodwill that will only decrease over time as more decisions are questioned. I’m not sure they ever rebuild that, but they lose some every time there is a year like this where the choices are not clear cut.
Over time, and absent something like an 8 team format that has an automatic bid for each P5 champion and 3 discretionary, I expect this committee will face a time when they are dismissed as biased, ossified, etc.
