I think the made-for-television time slots are partly a factor for lower attendance. The big factor being that all games are on national television now. No regional broadcasts. No PPV.

The 12pm ET kickoffs suck arse. The 8/9pm ET kickoffs suck arse. Constantly playing games at 3:30pm ET during late Summer in the South sucks arse.

Viewership was down in 2020 pretty significantly but that it likely just a COVID speed bump. ADs will complain and worry a bit about attendance but as long as the TV money is correct, they’ll live with it.

Good points....TV has compeletely destroyed the PAC 12....kids in SOCAL with potential at the next level ain't playing at 9 am in Corvallis or 11 PM Eastern Time in LA or Seattle....because no one is awake or interested in either time slot.
