I wanted Odom to succeed but he was a bad game day coach and these issues never improved. The team was also undisciplined at times. The 2018 team was a good team that should’ve gone 10-2, atleast 9-3

I never felt like he was “the guy.” We’ll have to see what Drink can do in the future, and no, he doesn’t have it easy either. Missouri was supposed to be the 2nd worst team in the East this year, instead we’re 6th in the SEC

You never felt he was the guy because the collective never wanted him to be. Fans and media never embraced it.

There's some deep takes on this, I believe Mizzou missed out on a desperately needed feeling of 'new' after 15ish years of Pinkel and the way that ordeal ended.

And Mizzou was picked where they were in the SEC because only people like myself who pay attention could have predicted the season Connor Bazelak had.

And most experts fell victim to the fact that coaches are usually fired when things are really bad, which they weren't at Mizzou. The combination of predicted upswings for TN and FL and predicted downswings for Mizzou with no returning QB and a new coach were reasonable from typical outside 'experts'.
