Agents are still a part of it but lets not
forget that the guy who started the opt out craze was a white RB from Stanford whose parents were Stanford grads...not from the most difficult of circumstances

Agents were around when the NFL had the unspoken rule of not taking anyone who had less than 4 years from HS graduation... so as to not compete with their free farm league. Once they get away with it, they will continue make it the norm as they did. Each opt out is getting some sort of advance you can bet.
