Seriously.

We had one outlier game, led by one of our former long term coaches. Outside of that single example, we are top 5 in every defensive category that matters.

No more emergency scrubs on defense like last year. We have basically a full complement of players, and he has molded them into what has become the best defense in the country over the past several weeks.

It's not even debatable.

It's easy to blame Golding for last night's performance but I don't think Kirby Smart, Jeremy Pruitt, or any other great defensive coordinator we've had in the past could have prevented what happened last night. Florida's offense was just too good and too dynamic. On the vast majority of plays last night, the defense was in position to make plays and get stops. The only Florida scoring drive that was absolutely inexcusable was their last one of the first half and Saban let Golding have it. For the most part the defense didn't look lost. Florida's offense was just making plays despite us being in good position to stop them.

Also...it wasn't Golding's fault that Jobe was lined up offside. That play changed the game and gave Florida the life they needed to bring the game down to the wire.
