Was it a publicity stunt? Absolutely. Did it harm ANYTHING? No chance in hell, outside of the kickers reputation with people finding it disgusting that she not only was on the team but thought it necessary to make a half time speech chewing their asses out for not being fired up. And guess what???? Our idea of her reputation and her life is not in the least bit impacted by that.

Out of curiosity, and please give an honest answer.

Would you be in favor of a kid that never gets into a basketball game at Georgia going to the womens basketball team and playing? How about track and field? Or any other sports team? Would the media hype it up and say how brave the guy is?

Nobody would be okay with it and no the media would not rain praises on him.

Why, do think? What is the difference?

All valid points and it is not questionable...but, at the end of the day, what damage has been done?

Anyone who has watched women's basketball at the highest level knows there ain't a scrub basketball player on a men's team at the same level who would not look like Michael Jordan playing against a youth league if he played against the best women's basketball team ever. It is not a comparable situation....if that man went out and dominated the women, as would most likely be the case, it would be what everyone expected to happen....however, had old girl come out and kicked the ball out of the back of the endzone it'd been compelling....and I don't doubt there are women at Vandy today who could probably do that. Prior to her actually kicking the damn ball no one knew what she was going to be capable of...most suspected what we saw but there ain't many who wouldn't have been just a little bit impressed if she did indeed boot it out of the back of the endzone. If that dude playing basketball merely appeared like a functional player on a women's basketball team as the kicker would have appeared had she kicked the ball down the field it would not be a story...however, if that fricker took the court and looked as bad as the kicker did he'd be ridiculed to the end of time. Thats what they had her do...go out one time and do something that almost anyone in the stadium at the moment could have done.

The difference is she is a woman playing in a man's contest.....thats why it was praised and thats why so many people have had their panties bunched up and wedged up their arse. If it were the other way around and he looked as bad we'd ruin that fricker. Everyone knows there is a substantial physical difference between men and women, generally speaking. Finding a woman who could compete with men physically is compelling...finding a man who can is not so much....

It the male identifies himself as a woman, the media and Loony Leftist Liberals would praise him/her to the Heavens and demand he/she be named All-American and given all kinds of awards for his/her "contributions to society."
