asked the question why Nebraska was so good in football but yet has a population less than two million?
I mean how did they get the players if they had a so called recruiting disadvantages?
I'm using them as an example of a program in a small state that won big but the so called recruiting disadvantages say that isn't suppose to happen.
Why does Arkansas, LSU, Auburn and A&M having much larger states to recruit in have inferior program histories to Nebraska?
Clearly, they used to recruit Texas and other football hotbeds hard! They got Nat'l recruits because they were on t.v. more than the majority of CFB programs. However, that's not the case anymore. BYU, CFU, CINN, MEMPHIS...ETC .
All have equal exposure to t.v. & the media as Nebraska does. Who's no longer a football power!

Good info. But also what Nebraska had that many of these schools didn't have was consistent good coaching for a long period of time. When it that was gone, they declined pretty quickly.
I was using Nebraska in comparison to Arkansas as some people are saying that Arkansas can't compete on a high level but yet Nebraska did for so many years.

Nebraska had it's pick of good players out West for a while. Now that's over and I think it's why they now struggle.
