Thanks, but no thanks for the link to your article, Dan. It's sad you stoop to this level to get yourself views.

The game has passed him by, like Pelini, he doesn't know how to stop a spread offense.

"Chavis stressed that he would like to end his career with a coaching job that presents the best chance of being able to compete at a championship level."

Ain't nobody hiring Chavis to compete on a championship level. Look how much better our defense is this year with the same players(and freaking walkons)

One thing I'll say about Chavis. He can still recruit, even though I know some will say I'm wrong. When people mention how Chad recruited well at Arkansas, they're mostly talking about players recruited by Chavis and Stepp.

Golding brought him in over the summer as a third down advisor.

This is what annoys me about Alabama fans talking up Charlie Strong.

He was a DC over 10 years ago, the game has changed a lot in that time. Maybe he knows how to adjust, but I'm certainly not basing my opinion on him from 10+ years ago.

Anyone want McElwain as their OC now? Nope.

Alabama might take him at this point.

He doesn't recruit or coach.
