I took Bama -33 the second it hit the plate. I don't see us putting up more than 7 points. Bama will put up 45 with ease. The only way we cover is if Bama puts in backups in the second half, which I believe is what Vegas is thinking. Then again, their backups are still better than our 1s.

After the Ole Miss debacle, Bama fans simply want to see Golding match up with these spread teams. We have a defense full of great athletes, but there have been games, scheme-wise, where we have asked our guys to dig a ditch with a spoon.

I usually shy away from lines that huge, with the assumption that Vegas expects a good bit of garbage time.

Right now most systems are calling for the cover by State, and the line is dropping slightly.

One thing that does jump out at me though, is that Alabama has a slight advantage at home on turnovers (+1.5), while State is averaging a huge disadvantage away (-3.5). Alabama has the edge in opponent interceptions thrown.

Thus, it might simply come down to turnovers, which are of course hard to predict.
