At this point in time, the numbers do not support the idea that Burks will have a better career. If you extrapolate DK’s stats to 36 games (to standardize for three full seasons), DK would have 2099 yards and 24 touchdowns in 36 games. If you do the same for Burke’s current numbers (which is all we currently have to go off of), he would have 2075 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Obviously his numbers are going to improve with better QB play. That doesn’t mean he is better than DK Metcalf or that he is going to have a better career. Even if you multiply his extrapolated touchdown numbers by four, he still wouldn’t have the same number of touchdowns that DK did in college. Alternatively, you could add 500 yards to Burke’s extrapolated yardages total and add 8 touchdowns to his TD total and DK would still have a better career due to higher TD% and YPC.

You can't extrapolate those stats for Metcalf because they didn't happen.
You can only go off what he actually did. Again, we aren't speaking in hypotheticals here, we are going off facts.
When you compare careers of two players, you compare what they did, not what "they might've done if you extrapolate hypothetical stats".
