I really like him as a person and he prolly wouldnt leave for another job. But chances are history repeats itself and like with most coaches at all schools he is eventually fired. He may surprise me and stay 15 plus years, but if he only last 4 to 5 years(I expect him to last longer) do we really think he would just retire and ride off into the sunset?

I am pulling for the guy and hope he does well, except against LSU, but unless he is just one of those guys who says I have enough money, I doubt this will be his last job.

If it is

I’ll allow it. Seems like a really good dude and the Hog fans haven’t had much to cheer about in recent memory.

They have a great stadium and scene so looking forward to watching some competitive games up there.

What is going on around here? How do all of you know him so well? Let's be clear about something concerning football coaches. No matter what kind of good 'ole boy show they put on for the cameras, most every football coach in college or the NFL has had a mean streak somewhere in their personality at some time.

That is what makes them gravitate to football. Football is a game played by tough men that do bad things on the field and usually are alpha-male personalities that like to dominate.

It takes what many would consider bullies to keep them in line many times. A whole lot of coaches put on a golly, aw-shucks show for the interviews and then go out on the field and strike fear into the type of people who many times don't respect anything but that type of personality.

Even meek and mild seeming Lou Holtz was known to be an a-hole a lot of the time. I'm genuinely curious how a consensus has seemingly been reached in so short a period of time, 4 games, that Sam Pittman is basically the best, most moral, decent, ethical, and honorable man to ever come down the pike in our whole lifetimes?
