I am not fully clear as to why. The assumption I made based on what I read was the back up came in and did a good enough job to make him think he would not get it back. Or there were other issues. Total speculation. Maybe his girlfriend dumped him and he hated California. It could be something totally benign or something bigger. You can speculate based on the fact he isn’t playing and he is a proven D1 kid and a 5 Star QB. There is a reason. I don’t think it is because Kirbs wants to play an inferior player as part of his conspiracy to lose.
