But we saw in the 2nd half of that game what the defense is capable of if they just make the tackles and play sound fundamental football.
You think that shite is going to work against a Clemson or OSU? It was an improvement yes, but so many plays the RB or some other receiver were left wide open but Bennett didn’t see them. Instead he threw into double coverage. Or he overthrew open receivers. Or receivers dropped the pass. And they also stopped running the ball for some reason.
That second half performance had as much as to do with UGA shooting themselves then Alabama making significant improvements.

Apparently they don't at bama under Golding.
And here we go again pretending this is Golding's defense and not Saban's.

Yep. If UGA had played smart this would have been a nail biter, maybe even a UGA win.

Biggest change regarding defense from 2017 to 2018 was the DC. Just a coincidence that the defense fell off the face of the earth after that point? Come on man.

Mack Wilson did better when he wasn't the guy being forced to call everything. Moses has regressed physically, probably due to the injury that kept him out all of last year.
That’s not an excuse. Every defense requires guys to call plays. That’s up to the coaches to make sure that they are capable of doing so. Yeah maybe so for Moses, but that doesn’t excuse him being completely lost out there so often.
quote:
Don't even know what the frick you are talking about in regards to Harris, who has only been on campus for little over a year and a half.
He’s looked way worse this year then he did last year.
I don’t know how you can possibly excuse an Alabama defense not being much better with the way they recruit. Why is it that a lack of fundamentals is not on the coaches?

The best defense in college football gave up 41 points to Alabama last night.
If you think a high performing offense can be stopped by defenses these days, then I'm not sure what to tell you.
What did you say when the defenses gave up 35 and 40 to Clemson? Nothing.
I swear the only reason you guys even go on about Golding now is because of that stupid Crimson Boz frick with his fake arse inside information.

Yeah, can't wait to get back to letting Clemson score 35 and 40 points against us.
It's funny the shite you guys blame.

If we could hold Clemson to 40 this year I'd be shocked.
P.S. the 2015/16 game was 45-33 with 3:30 left. That last TD wasn't particularly meaningful except that the drive ate clock, which is what we wanted defensively. Definitely got torched for 33 meaningful points though.

1.4
He got the additional .4 because of the second half last night. He still sucks.

I am not one on here calling for heads to roll but if you can’t see blown assignments , LBs who can’t drop into zones, blitz effectively , poor tackling on all 3 levels of the D etc then you are not paying attention or don’t know football

You were just waiting for that second half performance so you could come out to suck off Golding again. Completely forgetting they played like complete arse the week before.
That’s not an excuse. You’re pretty much saying that Alabama’s defense is about as good as any defense can be right now. LSU’s defense last year held a top 5 Clemson offense to under 30 points. Defenses can’t consistently hold offenses down, but it can still be done.
Because both those defenses led, sometimes carried, Alabama to the championship in the first place. That 2016 Alabama D gave that offense every chance to put that game away in the first place. Held Clemson to 7 points through 2.5 quarters, forced two turnovers inside Clemson territory, forced 8 punts. In return that Bama offense negative 9 yards off those two turnovers, 9 straight 3 and outs, 12 punts, and couldn’t sustain a single drive all game.

You are so desperate to blame Golding that you claim the 2nd half was only due to Georgia fricking up?
Georgia rushed the ball 30 times in the game. On their first drive coming out the 2nd half, they had 5 plays. 3 of them were runs.
2nd drive, 7 plays, 5 runs. Both passes were completed on that drive also. But the Alabama defense actually tackled last night.
etc.
You know what also happened in the 2nd half? We got our other safety back. Who btw, also happens to be our best safety.

I haven't forgotten anything. If they go into other games and don't make tackles, you'll see the same thing.
But you have to be an idiot to see guys in position, but not making tackles, and thinking it's the play calling.
EVEN AFTER NICK frickING SABAN TELLS YOUR STUPID arse IT WASN'T THE PROBLEM.
Nick Saban shares my position. The rest of you are fricking idiots.

Because it’s not just the missed tackles. It’s leaving guys, especially RBs, wide the hell open. It’s having the players lost as hell or not even lined up before the ball is snapped.
Also why do you think only play calling is a coaches’ responsibility.

You really think Saban would come out and publicly blame his assistant coach? Do you honestly think Saban is completely infallible? In that case, Alabama should never lose a game ever.

Does that mean Saban is also a troll? Since while all you stupid fricks at Crimson Boz's corner were talking about how he was going to be fired after the Auburn game.
Then when that didn't happen, you dumb fricks claimed it would be after ESD.
Then after that didn't happen, you dumb fricks claimed it would happen after the bowl game.
Then after that didn't happen, you dumb fricks claimed it would happen after NSD.
Then after that didn't happen, you dumb fricks claimed Charlie Strong was hired to be his replacement, and it was any day.
Then after that didn't happen, Saban turned around and gave Golding a raise.
Still you dumb fricks think you know better than Saban.
Still now even after Saban last year that the problem wasn't the DC, it was injuries, lack of depth and experience that was the problem you go on.
And now even after these weeks of Saban telling you directly play calling wasn't the issue.
You dumb fricks STILL keep going on.
Cry more because you bitch asses can't get me banned here like you did the Alabama forum. If you want your dumbass echo chamber, go back to it. You come out here, I'm going to knock your dick in the dirt.

I think you don't know shite compared to Saban.
When Saban decides he's the problem, he will fricking fix it.

No. I think Saban will find the problem and fix it. The fact he gave Golding a raise while all you dumbfricks were screaming for him to be fired should tell any rational person what's up.
But no, he must be goofy, lazy and the big problem because that fake arse insider said it was so. Because that's the Saban we all know, a guy who keeps people like that around.
fricking dumbasses.
