Tony Barnhart wrote a book about 20 years ago, I think it was updated later in that decade, called "Southern Fried Football" which was about Southern football in general, not just the SEC.
There was a large section about famous Southern college football broadcasters, the motivation being that those voices were such an important part of the tradition in this region.
All the SEC people mentioned here were included, along with folks like Woody Durham at North Carolina, Bob Harris at Duke and somebody who I always thought was great but only the old farts like me will probably remember ... Al Ciraldo at Georgia Tech ("Toe meets leather").
