Then why the hell have they kept him around this long? If money not object....and they know exactly what they have with Gus as HC, they could’ve and should’ve ponied up and made the change by now.. The old excuse of “who could AU get better than Gus” continues to raise its head every single year.

And it still remains. As you’ve pointed out in the past, he runs a clean program, very few academic or discipline problems. His floor is really 6-7 wins in a regular season. Unfortunately I don’t ever see him matching what he did in 2013 anymore either.
A change is always a risk, but maybe even more so for replacing Gus.
