And I can see them getting in the playoff even if they lose to Bama at 9-1

Doubt that, it would be super unlikely to get two teams from the same division in (assuming bama got in in this scenario).

But yeah, I agree overall. Just need to get the monkey off out back at Athens.

Well let's see. I would take Auburn over a one loss OU team, so that throws one of the probably 10 other contenders out already. Hard to find a better loss that Bama.

It is more likely to take 2 teams from the same division than 2 teams from opposite divisions.
Have you not been paying attention the past 10 years?
Loser of the SECCG is out.

I disagree. A few years ago we won our division and faced Alabama in the SECCG. Bama beat us and Florida went to a major bowl and we ended up in a much lesser bowl because we had the extra loss.

In his scenario, if you went 9-1 and played Alabama close you definitely could get into the playoffs. I mean, it is all conjecture and speculation, but I could easily see it happening. I mean, in 2017 Alabama got in without winning their division. Basically a similar situation.

Don't get me wrong, a lot of stuff would have to happen, but that is the way of the playoffs.
