Apologies if this was already discussed by I tried to use the search function in my phone twice and it won’t work today.

I saw the article on ESPN about Fromm and a conversation with a childhood friend in 2019. It was about gun ownership and making them too expensive for everyone but elite whites.

LINK

I am not here to bash Fromm (although Georgia sucks) not am I here to defend him. I really don’t care what he or any other athlete personally thinks on social issues (even Auburn players).

Here is my question:

Why does a childhood friend show personal text conversations to others?

Do people no longer respect personal conversations?

To expose their racist arse friends statements. You can't say this:

quote:

The text conversation between Fromm and a childhood friend occurred in March 2019. On the topic of guns, he wrote, "But no guns are good. They need to let me get suppressors," before adding, "Just make them very expensive so only elite white people can get them haha."

It's fricked up and wrong but I don't feel sorry for Fromm.

“Expose them”?

That is not how you change a person. If you are really interested in improving others (improving society in the process) then you talk with them and explain where they are wrong. You do it privately.

I guess you make the decision to “expose them” if you are extremely jealous of their success and want to tear them down to make yourself feel better about your lack of success.

Maybe I just answered my own question.

That girl's parents should be real proud of the trash they raised.

Everyone has said or texted something they would not be proud of in a situation like this. Everyone.

I thought it was a scorned lover who spread that text around?

I think it was handled the right way.

Jake said a really awful thing. That should never fly. He deserved all the backlash he got. But he apologized to his teammates and Buffalo is giving him another chance. He’s gonna have to dig himself out of a hole, but at least he’s got a chance.

No matter what, you can’t say the girl is not trash.

She posted a screenshot of a text 2 years ago, the day after Fromm got drafted. She was waiting for her moment of fame.

Then Fromm’s girlfriend texted her, asking her to delete it because the Bills were thinking about releasing Fromm. She tweeted a screenshot of that as well.

If she had tweeted it two years ago, maybe you have a point, but she was more interested in the attention she was getting.

Why

Do we need context with our Racism?

Fake Fromm in his weaselly mind used enough premeditation to know that Historically Blacks have less money, so by raising prices on them, then only the elite whites can get the silencers, makes him the worst kind of racist

My guess is some OLs might miss an assignment or 2 when this jerk gets in the Game

It was a joke. Unlike Richard Pryor or george Carlin, it wasn't funny.

If everyone needs to be outed for bad jokes, can we finally get rid of comedy central?

We tend to do this too much! Whenever someone says something that “could” be deemed racist, we want to say it’s a “joke” instead of labeling what it is. I don’t know Fromm personally but the elite whites part is not something I wanna say is a joke. Fromm deserved the backlash for it and the girl is trash for posting it 2 years later.

He said nothing at all that was "racist."
Zero.

It COULD be interpreted as prejudice but about 99% of all people have some type of prejudice.

Let's look at what LeBron James said:

quote:

"I don't want nothing to do with white people. I don't believe they want anything to do with me. I don't want no (white) friends. It's me and my boys." the quote reads.

Pretty bad.Dont ya think?
But I bet LeBron doesn't lose one
penny in endorsements.Wonder why?

Because according to her it was “the right thing to do”

Yet you bet your arse she didn’t oust herself. She did it for attention and praise and nothing else

I think we do. You've got a entire movement going on in the country right now that is based in racism. Just not the kind that gets people all riled up. The term "black lives matter" is inherently racist in the context that it is used. Imagine if there were a movement based on white lives matter. Would that be deemed racist? So yes we need context with our racism.
The elite whites part is out of line, joke or not, but let's be real here, the guns that 2nd amendment opposers want off the streets aren't being bought at gun stores by the people using them. So therefore it doesn't matter how expensive they are legally to buy. It's why the whole basis of gun reform is a joke. The guns causing most of the problems would still be on the streets.

She may have gotten paid by someone to do it that way. That’s capitalism. She had something someone wanted. Someone paid her for that something.

Well there is that pesky history of whites treating blacks horribly in this country that gives him reason to not want anything to do with whites.

Look at it like this. If Labrador retrievers had a history of biting only white people, would you want a Labrador retriever?
