Maumelle (Ark.) four-star offensive lineman Andrew Chamblee has committed to Arkansas. The 6-6, 292-pounder went public with his decision on Saturday, choosing the Razorbacks over Auburn, Florida, Louisville, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Tennessee and many others.

Chamblee was initially offered by former Arkansas head coach Chad Morris on September 21, 2019, then re-offered by the Hogs' new staff after Sam Pittman took over in December of 2019.

"It has been a long process, but it feels good, honestly," Chamblee told HawgSports. "Just to know how the fan base is and the family that comes with it. Just having that name on the back of your jersey, that feels good."

The major offensive line target has been a priority target for Pittman and offensive line coach Brad Davis for several months. He enjoyed a virtual visit with the Razorbacks on January 24 and came away feeling even closer to the staff.

"Coach Davis means a lot," Chamblee said. "I know he's going to do big things with me, getting me prepared for the next level, the NFL, hopefully. He's definitely going to push me to my potential with grades, academics, on the field and off the field. It really means a lot, and I'm putting a lot of trust into him.

"Coach Pittman, he's a great guy. Outside of football, getting to know him, he's really good. He's definitely going to turn this program around. Just getting to know the coaches up there, especially Pittman and Davis, it's been great."

According to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite rankings, Chamblee is the No. 283 overall prospect in the nation, No. 35 among offensive tackles, and No. 3 in the state of Arkansas. He is a Top247 member according to 247Sports, coming in at No. 234 in the nation, the No. 23 offensive tackle prospect, and No. 2 in the Natural State.

Arkansas's 2022 class is growing rapidly now with another addition this month. Maumelle offensive tackle Andrew Chamblee announced his decision to commit to the Razorbacks over Florida, Michigan State, Auburn, Ole Miss, Penn State and Tennessee on Saturday afternoon in Little Rock.

Holding 19 Division-I offers, the 6-foot-6, 290-pound tackle is ranked No. 4 in the state of Arkansas and the second-ranked offensive lineman behind fellow Arkansas offer E'Marion Harris.

Chamblee was one of the first prospects offered in the Natural State in his class by Chad Morris and he was promptly reoffered by Sam Pittman and Brad Davis.

Chamblee is now the second offensive lineman in the 2022 class, joining South Carolina center Eli Henderson.

On top of playing basketball and prepping for his senior season, the lineman will be tasked with bringing his teammate, defensive tackle Nico Davillier on board as well. Chamblee is the first Maumelle High player to commit to the Hogs. Maumelle replaced Oak Grove High–former home of Darren McFadden.

The commitment is a massive win for Davis given the competition for his services. Chamblee had expressed interest in wanting to visit programs like Florida and Michigan State before making a decision but the Hogs' pressure (and the extended dead period) won out.
