When you ask people why they failed financially, there will almost always be some kind of health excuse.

That's a convenient excuse with nothing to back it up.

Let's just ignore the absurd costs of ER visits, x-rays, cost of ambulance rides, being out of network, ect.

Point is there's a reason why ever other first world country has UHC. It's pretty simple, either we have it right which is a system that can drown a person in debt if they get sick or every other country is right which is a system that is paid through taxes and covers every one.

UHC means no worrying about being out of network, no worrying about surprise bills, no massive bills at all, no worrying about having no insurance if you lose your job, and no worrying about if you can even afford to go to the doctors

That also comes with an astronomically high tax rate. For example, someone in the UK who makes $62k/year falls in the 40% tax bracket. That is fricking absurd and should never be a thing here.

$62k/year falls in a 22% tax bracket here, by the way. Also, while $62k/year may sound like a lot to a college student like yourself, trust me when I say that it really isn't that much when you're living on your own by yourself. For that to fall in a 40% tax bracket is damn near criminal.
