Strom Thurmond (who had a black daughter), despite the chatter, was one of the most warm and engaging politicians of all time. As our culture cannibalizes itself, this Cultural Dissident just want to say that from personal experience. Now you may resume the destruction.
?

Really?

Try explaining this rosy, Revisionist arse bullshite to folks that were on the wrong side of Thurmond's Segregationist policies and Government sponsored racism

Try putting yourself on the wrong side of Jim Crow Laws, the wrong side of Segregation and see how much you love the warmth of ol' Strom

This ain't about "culture wars", it is about balancing the scales of racial justice from years gone by

What's really sad, is that folks like you aren't asking the obvious question; "why did we allow a bigot's name to be placed on a Bldg in the first place, surely there had to be high achieving non bigots worthy of such an honor"?

No it isn't. Most of this stuff is posturing, virtue signaling and other nonsense that ancillary to actually solving real problems or issues.

Right now its race to confirm your blackness or guilt depending what race you are. Get back to me when something is done that matters or a real leader emerges that people listen too. One that tells people what they need to hear not just what they want

That's all I said. I stand by that. He was warm and engaging. He actually LOVED at least two black people. Go figure. You know, the duality of man, life comes at you fast, and all that...

As for "racial segregation", "government sponsored racism",being on "the wrong side of Jim Crow Laws" etc.-THERE IS A REASON I DO NOT VOTE FOR DEMOCRATS. Learn your history Anger Baw.
