at least one of his sons went to UofSC. the state government doesn't require anybody to donate to a certain university. that's the dumbest assertion of all time.
Strom most likely would have attended law school at SC if not for his daddy being a lawyer and somehow getting him elibible to be a lawyer without a law degree.
