There have been rumblings that one of the options Finebaum's management is mulling over after his ESPN contract is up is Spotify. It's been reported that Spotify has reached out to Finebaum about a deal. It would be similar to Bill Simmons' "The Ringer" podcast which Spotify paid $200 million for.
ESPN upped Finebaum's salary in the last negotiations, but doubt they could come close to what Spotify would offer him.
Spotify cited Finebaum's built-in audience which would likely follow him there. Which I'm sure ESPN would hate to lose, so would bet ESPN would counter with a tempting offer.

Don't know if you followed him prior to national exposure, but there's usually major drama with him every time his contract is up.

Finebaum's show went off the air on WJOX temporarily on January 21, 2013, when his contract with Cumulus and WJOX expired. The New Yorker reported he "had talks with ESPN and CBS, about joining their national radio networks, and with SiriusXM, about moving permanently to satellite."
