You can do that. It’s my opinion that he’s the best having followed all of these guys for years.

Accourding to Bammers, Bryce Young is without question the best QB in the conference.

You are a fool for saying otherwise

Not exactly an easy schedule with a question mark at QB

Are they as good as Greg McElroy? Because as a rookie starter in 2009, McElroy was the only QB of the Saban era to have an undefeated, national championship season.

Why are 37 post alters projecting their hopes onto others. Nobody replacing their QB ever knows what will happen. They recruited the top QB in he country because Jones is not a big time talent. I've yet to hear from a single "bama fan" who is "SO" any damn thing about the QB situation except curious and concerned. Curious about the freshman and concerned about the career type backup that Jones is. But they are a special outfit since they won natty's with plugger types like McElroy/Coker and also a converted backup defensive back.

But with their huge following I guess you can find some of everything: confidence, concern, what have you. Yes they have a rough row to hoe with multiple top 10 teams including the most talented roster of them all, UGA. Your wish for Ole Miss to be a threat to UA this year however is wishful thinking. Wish in one hand and pee in the other and see which fills up faster.

Further lazy or just plain recruiting mistakes has left them with voids along the defensive front. And you can add the secondary this year. The voids last year were compounded by the worst run of injuries at two key spots where they were shorthanded already because of those recruiting lapses. They are still vulnerable @ LB and DT but those freshmen they had to throw at the problem last year are now sophs. So they've got issues but some hope there too. Look like another year of trying to outscore people without a great QB from this angle. But they might.

If our defense returns to what we are used to (HUGE IF) he will be more than adequate to win a NC. Bama has won NC before with far worse QBs

What does "so confident" mean?

I'm "so confident" that Mac proved his floor, especially with the 10 guys he'll have around him, is solid college QB. I don't see many people predicting he will win the Heisman trophy or anything.

As for Bryce Young, who the hell knows in year 1 with all this going on?

The evaluation of talent by recruiting services has come a long way since 2002-03 when the practice was in its infancy.

Hyperbolic much? There's an ongoing debate on our message board about when Bryce Young will see the field. It's fairly even between those who believe in Mac Jones and those who believe in Bryce Young.

Here’s something to add to debates when you’re not busy being stroked by Barrett Sallee, Cue Ball Cole Cubelic, the Feel Good Clowns around the Rant, and Paul Finebaum about being the best in the SEC and America

1. What if Bryce Young ain’t the 2nd coming of Jesus just another CA flop like Blake Barnett (sun devil worshipper).

2. What if Bryce Young is another that’s almost “Tuna Good to be true”. He’s still a runt and any sane Coach “not off his rocker” doesn’t throw him to the SEC wolves in a first season, but instead let’s him see back-up when you Gumps are frosting your cupcakes.

Saban blew it with Tuna bigtime and lost serious cred and folkses watched. Wonder why Mannings never named Bama to their Top 5 for Little Arch, a soph 2020 phenom and 6’3, 190 already, going to be the highest ranked and hyped QB ever. LSU got a Top 5 Invite to the Little Arch Debu-taunt Ball but a 61-17 Medieval @$$ beating Grandpa got in 1970 (50 years ago) still lingers in Manning psyche, so he never signs up LSU we know.

But that’s not the point. LSU got in Top 5 discussion as QB-U, that’s the point! Joey B set the bar high and gave little Arch a hero to emulate. Grandpa and uncles hate LSU but the kid and his pards are Joey B all the way. Kids are gonna be kids and Grandpa will win in the end and Kiffin will get little Arch if he hasn’t come East to take over the Bama job for 2023 season!

All Saban’s eggs are in 1 Tuna-wannabee basket AGAIN. The reason half your fan base doesn’t have Air Mac10 Joker Jones frequent flyer miles is cuz he won’t cut it in 2020 and get Bama to the playoffs, much less show up in a pistol fight with Ohio State or Clemson.

The point! You gotta look ahead!
Who’s behind Young?

Makes you wonder about Saban. He prolly thinks to himself 50 times a day how he wishes Tuna stayed for his Senior Year after pulling off the biggest Con of his life selling the NFL Brittle Tuna damaged goods.

Saban could start doing Starkist commercials and make a killing. Noone knows Tuna better than Ole Nick and he could even have the Real Tuna jump in for a cameo & chow down on some Starkist in a cannible type scenario
