I forget who told you previously but COVID-19 kills in many different ways because it can affect every organ. A COVID victim could die from a blood clot, pneumonia, heart attack, kidney failure or a stroke.

The deaths are an indirect effect of COVID caused by the victim's faulty immune response to the virus.
