So if the SEC is the only conference that plays this fall, how would you feel about a 13 game SEC schedule.
Start September 5th. 13 games. 2 off weeks. Last regular season Saturday would be December 12th. End of year rivalry games could be played on Thanksgiving with 2 weeks after or you could just push them back 2 weeks.
You take the top 4 best records and play semi final games on NYD at home sites of best 2 records.
Play the SEC/National Championship on the regular Monday night in Atlanta.
Would you want that? Would the schools want that? Would the coaches want that?

We last played Vanderbilt in Nashville in 2009. We last played Florida in Gainesville in 2010. We last hosted Georgia in 2010. We've never even hosted Missouri.
The SEC schedule is fricking bullshite as it stands right now. I'd love to play other SEC schools and act like we play in a conference instead of playing schools like Louisiana Tech more often.

Dude I’d kill for an opportunity to road trip to Athens & or Knoxville. I’m sure East fan bases Would say the same about Baton Rouge & Tuscaloosa.

What do the c-d games scheduled for 2021-2025 count as?

I think state rivalries will still need to take place. SC Clemson, Florida FSU, UGA GT for example.

10 game Conference Sked, that'll give the ADs 1 or 2 games of wiggle room to schedule OoC Rivals or a G5 Team

It will never happen but I would love to see the SEC stage a round robin some day.
A bit of trivia as an aside: Of all those crowned since 1933, there has only ever been 2 SEC champions that could not have finished out of 1st place had the conference completed a round robin – 1964 Alabama & 1973 Alabama. The worst that could have happened to either of those teams would have been a tie for first.

Let Vanderbilt sit this one out and have the remaining 13 teams play each other.
Boom. 12 regular season games.

In this environment, I like an 8 game conf schedule regular season (6 Division games, 2 cross division); ensure 4 home and 4 away
Seeding for a 14 team tourney based off of the above game results for a 4 rd Tourney based on seeding, not division
1 and 2 get a bye.
1st RD:
- 1a: 14 vs 11
- 1b: 3 vs 10
- 1c: 5 vs 8
- 1d: 13 vs 12
- 1e: 4 vs 9
- 1f: 6 vs 7
2nd Rd
- 2a: #1 vs winner of 1a
- 2b: winner 1b vs winner 1c
- 2c: #2 vs winner 1d
- 2d: winner 1e vs winner 1f
3rd rd
- 3a: 2a vs 2b
- 3b: 2c vs 2d
4th rd finals
Winner of 3a vs 3b + a bonus 3rd place game between losers of 3a vs 3b
Higher seed hosts; 4th rd games in ATL
Could play around with the seeding, but it allows:
- regular season rivalries to continue
- minimum of 9 games played per team
- minimum 4 home games each
- an 11 to 12 game season for the top 4 teams
- every team to get a playoff atmosphere experience
Personally, I like this model even in normal conditions. But, add 1-2 FBS OOC games to the regular season (guarantees 10-11 games per team).
If other conferences mirrored this, an 8 team playoff (P5 Conf winners + 3 at large based on highest ranked in the CFB Playoff Cmmte ranking after championship rds). That makes the loser bracket (3rd place) games important to attempt to make a statement for an at large bid. Playoff seeding derived from CFP Cmmte poll.

Round Robin with aSECCG if necessary. No division BS, best two teams square off against each other.
