No because if we don't have a season then ~80% or more of FBS Athletic Departments will go bankrupt.

Auburn would get to skip the every other year beatdown trips to Athens and Tuscaloosa and pick back up with both games at home again.

Sounds like a win win for you guys.

Anyone who thinks there will ever be a viable vaccine is pretty much an idiot, or someone looking to profit

Nope, to much money in the line.

Schools can't afford not to have football.

I just don’t see college football happening this fall. Possibly an abbreviated schedule later in the year or something. That’s even doubtful right now. Let’s just hope college hoops can play at some point this season.

They aren't cancelling the season. If they cancel the season they are cancelling college athletics.

They'll play in some capacity in fall or winter or spring or something, but they won't cancel the season.

At the end of the day, our economical health will supersede the public health concern. You can't have a strong health care system if you have a weak economy. I think most decision-makers were apprehensive about the cancellation of spring sports, but the money from spring sports (excluding the NCAA Tournament) is not nearly as enticing as monies generated from Football. Money will be the driving force, IMO, and will be the reason the season happens.

Initially thought they would, but with the vaccine way off, I think herd immunity is our only hope. People who are worries about it can stay home and every one else should just be careful.

Why the frick do college students need a vaccine or treatment for a disease that 99% of them will be over within 5 days? Also we’ve never developed an actual cure or treatment for the coronavirus. Fauci can gi frick himself. So stupid.

I hope not, but no one knows at this point.
FWIW, Fauci has been trying to give pro leagues roadmaps on how to keep playing.

I’m just worried that CFB won’t make the cut.
