He inherited a program that can strike gold if run properly, which he is doing, but he didn’t inherit a loaded roster. It had holes all over it.

It had holes, but Richt consistency signed top 10 classes. It was FAR from a talent devoid roster. No matter how much you guys dump on Richt, he was a decent recruiter.

This makes no sense. Uga is clearly on another level compared to the program richt left him.

Meh. Richt was a 10 win per year type guy. Won a couple of SEC titles. Kirby is an 11 or so win type guy with 1 SEC title. I don't see a huge difference to this point. Richt had some hella good teams, especially early on in Athens. People forget.

Worst shape our roster has been in since the 90’s when richt left. No sec level qbs ready to go, injury prone RBs, weak on the OL, weak at wr, weak in the secondary, and perhaps other holes.

Early on richt is an entirely different subject. We are discussing old richt. The one who struggled to finish top 25 way too often. The one who struggled to develop guys into draft picks. Compare Kirby to that guy.

Talent had fallen way off the 2nd half of his career. He was consistently out recruited by Bama,LSU and UF. Pruitt did give recruiting a boost in '14 and '15...too late by then though.

Sure but that wasn't the Richt that got canned.
