Finished the season ranked 24th in the coaches poll
He inherited Sony Michel, Nick Chubb, Roquan Smith, Lorenzo Carter, Isaiah Wims, Riley Ridley, FrAll American Isaac Nauta and a few more UDFAs too, its not like the team was chock full of scrubs.
The incoming freshman was 5* #2 QB in the country. And also Jake Fromm was there. Agreed both were freshmen but its not like it was bare

Did you even watch the team? Did you see the QB situation or the OL situation?
The AP was exactly right and the team had no business being in the top 25.

Chubb wasn't close to the player he was a freshman.He signed Ridley and wasn't much a factor until his junior year and under Kirby's development.Same with Carter.

So what? He was still freshman and had to be thrown into the fire immediately.
