People said similar things about Orgeron and Dabo Swinney. Kirby may not be a game management savant, but he just needs to put together a better offensive staff; idk what could've sold him on Chaney or Coley.

The sustained success of Dabo has been impressive. I think he has been aided by a historically bad ACC, but still impressive. I think Orgeron caught lightning in a bottle last year with two elite coordinators that are both gone now, along with a #1 overall pick at QB. I don't see that level of success as sustainable for O but I'll happily admit I'm wrong if he wins another natty in the next 4-5 years. I would put Kirby in the same league as O, but not with Dabo.
