We also started the tradition in the 1980's of taking $2.00 bills on the the road to show the local merchants the economic impact Clemson fans make when we travel. When bowls had a little more flexibility in the selection, Clemson usually got a little better bowl because of the asses we put in the stands. Now it's just a fun tradition.

As for the tombstones, I'm on the fence about your suggestion. But this came up in a time when we were still not a national power. I don't like changing traditions so I'm fine with keeping it the same.
