Is this really the place for politics? This is a pretty danged unique situation where there are millions of people that can't make their power bill because the government has ordered their doors closed.
Not because they made bad decisions, were lazy, or any of the other reasons why I'd normally be vehemently opposed to 'wealth distribution.'
The government literally said no matter how bad you want to do your job, we aren't going to let you. If there ever was a legitimate reason to just give someone money, this is it.
