If something happened at the SECT the liability can fall on the SEC. @ NCAAT the liability can put on NCAA.

If a kid gets it, he would have the ability to potentially take it to court. And once the NBA made the call everyone else followed them because all it would take is an athlete who got sick at the NCAAT to take it to court and then you look foolish bc you thought you were smarter than the NCAA

Lebron and other NBA players straight up said they wouldn't play without fans. That's why the NBA cancelled instead of just doing empty stadiums. It didn't help that a player turned up positive and that likely means that more players have been exposes and some will likely also turn up positive.

The NCAA had issues with mass gatherings being banned at tourney sites along with other things.

^ They are only doing this stuff because of liability concerns.
