Honestly, and I hate to say this because I can't stand Alabama.

I think 2009 Alabama would beat 2019 LSU on the field.

LSU because of Burrow and the receivers.

Bama could beat 85 Bears. Did I do that right?

Bama would get destroyed, teams have gotten too good on offense now.

2009 Bama ran a Les Miles offense.

Bama 2009 easily... if a crappy ole miss team can rush for over 400 yards on lsu Ingram and T-Rich would have ran for 500+ and controlled the clock - keeping lsu's offense off the field.

2009 Bama had Greg McElroy at Qb right?

This is a really dumb question.

Are we playing 2009 or 2019 rules? In 2009 tackles that were seen as good hits result in ejections for targeting today.

The 2009 LSU team was leading 2009 Bama going into the 4th Qtr. That's with Jordan Jefferson as QB. I'd go with 2019 LSU with Burrow over 2009 Bama any day.

2019 LSU would handle that team easily. Remember, they needed Colt McCoy to puss out on the first drive of the title game that year to even finish the deal. And you know it. And they needed Mount Cody to block a FG against a slightly better than average Tennessee squad with first year coach Kiffin to hang on in that one. And they had to hang on against a pretty good but not great Auburn team that year. And I won't even get into the whole PP7 thing.

No, 2011 or 2012 Alabama would be a much tougher out. I think those games would look similar to this year's Auburn game, but with McCarron at QB, you might have had a chance with one of those squads on any given Saturday. 2011 LSU might have given this 2019 squad some fits early, but the 2011 offense would not have been able to keep up with this 2019 squad for four quarter.

Last year's Clemson squad with the D line they had might have also given us fits. Someone mentioned this year's Ohio State team. I think we would have beaten them worse than Clemson. They weren't mentally ready for us like Clemson was.
