Does he watch the football team play when he's in the stadium? Seems like a stupid and distracting time to make decisions about the program's future.

You need to try to remember what was going on the entire week leading up to that game after Les had been blown out three straight games after starting the season 8-0. It was all over the media and Alleva was getting pressure from all the people that matter (and the fans) to make a move. There's nothing more distracting about it being during the game from Alleva's side as him watching or not watching the game has no effect on what happens during the game. It's not like Les was on a conference call with Alleva while he was coaching. The distraction was there already, and business doesn't stop because a football game is going on.

Alleva should not be calling anyone a fool after his debacle at Duke.

How he still has any job is amazing to me.

So Orgeron is still winning with "Saban's players" 15 years after he left? That's impressive.

Alleva also hired Will Wade.

Alleva signed off on it but the guy who brokered that deal and met with Wade was the assistant AD Eddie Nunez who is now the AD at New Mexico

LSU fans hated Alleva and said he was the dumbest AD on the planet.

Orgeron has turned out to be a fantastic hire. Great results at a competitive cost for today’s standards. Still it has to be said Alleva and LSU completely botched the process since late 2015 to the moment of the hiring. Result is more a fluke than a great decision process. The same season UGA let go of Ritch. Not identical but similar situation. UGA did it the right way, LSU did not.

Who knows what really happened. Since Orgeron has played Fisher and Herman, the 2 other coaches associated with that process/decision, several articles have been out commenting and researching what went on behind the scenes. Not all of them coincide, and you can see very different perspectives depending on who you ask.

Well, aggy’s previous top 5 finish was in 1956, so get the parade ready for 2068?

Bowl losses turned top 5 into top 10 finishes in 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1998.

So in Joe Alleva's Mind Orgeron > Miles > Jimbo. Considering that Woodward did not have a shot at Orgeron or Miles, his thought process that Jimbo> Sumlin is not inconsistent with Alleva's thought process. Clearly, Miles was >>>>> Sumlin.

+ You faggies had such hard ons to show up LSU that Woodward had to hire Jimbo, no matter what the ridiculous price.

I think we can safely say that this coach carousel worked out well for everyone accept A&M. But, hey, at least Jimbo won his bowl and made his pay < $1,000,000.00 per win this year. Congrats.

John Sharp is the fool. The aggy chancellor was behind this and eventually ran off Woodward with his hayseed bullshite.

Poor aggy.

Is Yahoo Sports as bad as Yahoo News because I don't believe what Yahoo says about anything.

I don’t know about any of that but I do know
14-0 > 8-5 and 50 > 7.
