Disclosure: I have a soft spot for UGA...I was a big fan of Gurley and was broken hearted when Richt misused him during the SC Gamecock game. That said- Kirby is in over his head.

No one will ever convince me that Fromm was a better QB than Fields.

Most of the 4* and 5* that UGA gets turn out to be average players is a reflection of coaching

Kirby does not know how to develop his players

Kirby has a propensity to throw his players under the bus. I hate this the most about Kirby.

As a result, players leave him every year because they don't like playing for him. He is very erratic and out of control on the sidelines. I think this because he's trying to compensate his emotions and passion for his lack of experience and talent in-game management.

This is like the impeachment testimony. Purely jaded opinion disguised as a statement of fact.

The Fear on this Board is unreal. Kirby has made one major mistake in 4 years in Athens - letting Fields go. Everything else is basically collateral damage from that. Homeboy is 44 and will be around longer at UGA than any other SEC East coach. By far. Call me in 2050 when Kirby finally removes his foot from Florida's arse.

Kirby is doing just fine. Haters gonna hate. Meanwhile uf struggles to beat Virginia, ut did their best to cheat out a win over fricking indiana, Bama looked like shite for 3 qtrs versus a bad Michigan team, and au got their shite rowed in by an upgraded Butch Jones ....

We are just fine.

IMO the recruiting sites overrate players based on which team offers them.

It is interesting that UGA claims 20 ish 5 stars in their two deep. Loses to,South Carolina and gets lit up by LSU two years in a row. There is only one ball so having three or four five star RB does not help that Much. LSU has learned that stacking up 5 star skill, players does not help until you solve QB and line of scrimmage. At least in the SEC West

UGA plays in a relatively weak SEC East. Florida has been down. The west has Bama with LSU Auburn and TAM trying to compete. Not having the competition might be hurting UGA.

When Mullen gets a QB to fit his system the competition will get tougher for UGA.

Don’t know anything about Kirby player not liking playing for him.

Kirby pressers are a lot better than Mullen.

Peter principle

People in a hierarchy tend to rise to their "level of incompetence": an employee is promoted based on their success in previous jobs until they reach a level at which they are no longer competent, as skills in one job do not necessarily translate to another.

WGAS.Were you really gonna bench a QB coming off a NC and the best freshman year in UGA history?

D'Andre Baker was a 3 star prospect who turned into 1st Rd pick.Eric Stokes is another 3 star who'll be a day 1 draft pick.Tae Crowder was a 2 star RB who became a 2 year starter at LB and will be an NFL draft pick

Have you seen how many players who leave Bama early? You recruit great players and they'll leave early.Happens at Bama,LSU,Ohio State, etc

This will be a record year for UGA players
drafted.

This is surprisingly good insight not typically found on fan forums. It’s why the Rant is the best.

Kirby’s vocabulary alone validates the point. Anybody that has spent five minutes on a football field knows that colorful language is part of it with some coaches. But how can any player respect a potty mouth head coach like Kirby Smart? Clearly the man is compensating because he is a poor leader.

The guy has no class at all. The whole “eat” tirade is embarrassingly cringeworthy. Half the players on that team come from homes where that kind of display would get them a swat on the backside or a mouth full of soap, yet there is a seemingly adult authority figure speaking like an ignorant deckhand. It’s like UGA made a younger Rick Trickett the head coach. Ask some of RT’s former players what they think of him. Same deal with Kirby will eventually be common knowledge. Most players just don’t respond to that profanity laced frothing at the mouth after a few times.

Kirby has won some games, but any idiot on this board could win 6 games a year as head coach at UGA. Kirby wins because he coaches in one of the top 3 Talent rich states in America and because he brought Alabama recruiting practices to Athens. Everybody with common sense knows we all drive 75 in a 65. But Kirby is driving 90 in that same 65 zone and banking on getting the tickets dismissed.

He may be right. It it still doesn’t change the fact that he is a flawed head coach and will never win a national championship. He doesn’t have the character to finish the drill. Too many of his players don’t respect a loser that plays favorites or speaks like a fool.
