Are the optics that bad for us firing Joe for a coach to turn down that payday when he might make a million a year where he is now?
We might have screwed up royally and set our program back years and end up like Arkansas is. I’m worried

I hope you haven't. The bottom of the barrel where we have been is a place no fan should ever be.

Eh we'll see Tuesday. I've gotten on board with Joe Judge if it isn't him

Don’t let the liberal media tell you what to think and feel deltaland. We’re gonna be just fine.

I'm going to be totally honest as a coach looking at his job.. First let me say State did the right thing letting Moorhead go.. You were going in a bad direction and it was showing. That was a huge first step, now you need a STATE guy. Reason be is lets be honest.. The job posting should read like this
How outside coaches see Job posting at State:
Every state around you recruits better in your state than you do, and now your rival has added a top recruiter and the school has 10x more boosters than your school. Also even if you beat ole miss 2 years in a row and go to a bowl game with 6 wins you will be fired in two years. We want 8 wins and a victory over A&M and LSU plus beat Ole Piss .
Thats a hard pill for any coach to swallow unless they are a STATE guy. It has to be a guy loyal as all get our or really has a chip on his shoulder. Napier doesn't fit that bill.. he has other schools wanting him that require less in a easier conference. SEC is hard and its damn hard in the West

If Napier takes $4MM then he has a crappy agent. If i were him I wouldn't take the job for anything less than 4.5MM maybe even 5MM. He's a hot commodity with options. Cohen needs to stop being cheap with HC and their staff pay. Every P5 team in the country is loaded with money and can pay up. The amount of risk taking the Mississippi State job is enormous due to our schedule. Someone that is already a HC with his success would be an idiot to take 4MM at a power 5 job.
your ignorance shows.

I’m gonna watch his Bowl tonight, regardless.
