Does Kirby Smart get unfairly hated on?

What people remember the most is Georgia choking against Bama in the natty and then in the SEC championship, and the bad loss to South Carolina. Overall though he has them in the top 10 every year and is doing an excellent job recruiting. Most teams would kill for that kind of success

All but Georgia fans think he cheats at recruiting. He has far to many five stars for either side of the ball to suck as badly as his offense.

His recruiting is great but his on field coaching is bad . It’s funny when you compare him to Richt Georgia fans claim he is a much better recruiter . But his results are about the same Richts .

look at the great players from Georgia that want to learn under Dabo. Deshaun. T-Law. just this year 5-star Miles Murphy.

No. He gets a ton of praise also. 3 things that are relevant:
1. the SEC East is historically weak right now.
2. Kirby is a world-class recruiter
3. He is a below average on field coach and his offensive scheme resembles the LSU- Les playbook.

When you make millions, you open yourself up to criticism whether it’s right or wrong. The more I listened to him criticizing the defense in post game and not criticizing the offense the more I began to dislike him. The defense kept us in games all year.

Watching the Sugar Bowl last night I got the impression that the game meant a lot to the UGA coaching staff. Winning without your best players is a testament to good coaching. Congrats to Kirby and his staff on that account.

What's funny to me is the guy in year 4 ever being a head coach has beaten Mullen's teams at MSU and UF, Gus, Riley, Gary Paterson, and now Matt Rhule.
Won a play off game and damn near one it all in only his second year. That amazing you dipshits.
