in all-time wins at 944 wins. Wow! In perhaps a mere 5 years, Bama will break the 1000 win mark.
Depending on how Michigan does in the next five years, Alabama could very well be the first to achieve the 1000 win threshold.
Michigan currently has 961 wins but, they could have a drop-off in the next 5 seasons and Alabama could pass them to achieve the 1000 win milestone first.
Then, naturally, Alabama would have not only the best winning % in college football as they do now, but could add the most wins milestone also.
There would then be, literally, no discussion whatsoever as to who the best college team to ever exist would be.
Alabama would hold the records for most NC's any way you wish to count them and at any year you wish to start counting them, as they do now. They would have the best winning percentage as they do now. And last, but not seen as the least by many, would have the most overall wins.
The trifecta. Let's all give Bama, the team, and their fans a huge Roll Tide Roll and wish them well for the new year.

As much as I want to bash you, you are right on this. Alabama is a much more accomplished team that Michigan. In football at least.
Saban's time is drawing to a close and I doubt he will see you to the 1000 mark. Your next hire will get you over the hump unless he's a dud.
Enjoy the success that you've had, but I think parity is going to be the SEC going forward with multiple teams winning the conference from here on out until the next Saban comes in.
