QB thread for 2020 season

Criteria:
Transfer QB who is immediately eligible.
Talented enough to compete with Beck/ Mathis immediately.
Please add candidates or give thoughts on these guys. I’ll update as more are added to the portal.
Candidates:
Jamie Newman- Wake Forest (Georgia is the favorite)
KJ Costello- Stanford
Jeff Duffey- Texas Tech (Tulane is the favorite)
Anthony Brown- BC
Caylin Newton- Howard

D’wan Mathis after he gets medically cleared. Just needs to find a special helmet and use extra protection, like a rugby player-then he may be safe to participate

We need a QB with some mobility. The Oline will still be good but there will be a decline.

There are lots of good options. Even a few that would improve us at the position next year.
BUT, it’s going to be Chase Brice, and it will suck, and the sooner we accept it, the easier it will be.

I seriously doubt Mathis , ever plays real minutes at QB for the Dawgs.
Forget the fact he had brain surgery 9 months ago; which would end it for me.... he is extremely raw.
By the end of spring there is an excellent chance Beck is ahead of him.
I hope I’m wrong.... the kid throws a great ball, is big and fast... I just think he his way behind now.
