Fellow LSU fans, why do you hate Saban?

I respect and actually like Saban and I’m grateful for what he did for LSU. He laid the foundation for us to build upon, despite whipping up on us for the past decade. It’s his job to beat us, it’s not personal.
Of course I was very disappointed to see him leave us for the Dolphins, and then to Bama, but hey, it’s business.
I admire his no-nonsense approach to coaching and there’s no denying that it works for him. He demands excellence from his players and usually gets it.
I hold no grudge against him for going to Bama. The job was open and it’s a top coaching gig.
So do the rest of my LSU brethren still hate him? Do you have any gratitude towards him for turning around our program and winning us a Natty?

I don't hate him in the least. He could have handled the way that he left LSU better...but that was 15 years ago. If I wanted to still have a sandy vagina over something that happened decades back, I'd become an Oklahoma Sooners or Minnesota Vikings fan.
What he and Mark Emmert did while in Baton Rouge raised LSU's game considerably...and were still benefitting from it. To that end, kudos to both of them.
I root against him and Bama if it benefits LSU. Outside of that, more power to him.

Frick you
I don’t hate anybody
And don’t you ever use that term hate when you are referring to me. (I’m pointing my finger at you now)
I have only love and forgiveness in my heart.
That’s how I was brought up in my religion.
I pray for Nick Saban every day.

Loved him at LSU, didn’t really care about him while in Miami or ‘07 at Bama. Hated him in ‘08, ‘09, ‘12-18. He’s growing on me again though. Simple as that.

I don’t hate him. I’m actually grateful for him making LSU relevant again. I hate that he went to Bama but it is what it is.

I don't hate him anymore than Nancy hates Donald.

I think Saban is a great coach and respect him very much. What I hate is that he has brought so much success to the most unsuccessful group of people in America, the Gump. We have to hear them gloat year in and year out. Saban has them shouting from the porch on the double wide to all that would hear. They don’t deserve the success he has brought them. They are the Texas or Notre Dame of the SEC.

I don't. Got beat the best in the sec to make ur team competitive. For whatever reasons some people dont like the guy. He brought LSU a Natty and by his success at LSU and bama his salary caused other schools to up their salaries on coaches as well. Saban is good for football. I just want to beat saban every year.

I can't think of a coach outside of the teams I pull for that I respect more.
He is the worthiest of adversaries. The kind that forms the way you build your program in order to overcome what he can do.
Without him, it would be a lot less interesting.
But now, SEC West is going to have Saban, CEO, Jimbo, Gus Bus, and Joey Freshwater. They can make this pay-per-view and I'd be all in.

He has been able to use his leverage with the SEC to get the easiest cross division schedule in the SEC and the easiest non-conference schedule. He only plays 3 tough games in a season and the National media kisses his arse. That’s why for me.

TO the OP:
I don't hate Saban. I revere him. His players at both LSU and Bama absolutely love him.
He's a good man who strives for perfection and actually does treat his players like family.
I must admit that I'm sometimes irritated with him just like a jilted lover, but he left LSU to try out the NFL. No fault in that. And when he wanted to return to college football, there was no longer a place for him at LSU since we had a contract with Miles. So, it only makes sense that he went to Bama.
I will always hold him in high regard as he was the coach who returned LSU football back to its former glory.
I may pull against him for the remainder of his years as HC at Bama, but as a person I will always respect him and wish nothing but success for him. (As long as that success is not detrimental to our Tigers.)
