What? You think Drink would want to tank here? He’s 36.

We hired a geriatric position coach that is going to make 3M per year for 2-3 and then burn out and retire.

We’re amazing at rationalizing total failure.

Mizzou goes and offers 4M and we offer less than the B team high school coach we just fired.

By the looks of it, he’s going to hire a bunch of his buddies who are “good men”, the stadium will be empty and we may win 3-4 games next year.

I’ll give him a chance but I’m incredibly skeptical. Probably more so than when we hired Chaggit.

Will wait on the staff before total melt.

No offense to Drink, but he is not ready. And Drink even admitted he is not ready to take over the clusterfrick. I don't expect the program to excel under Pittman, but his recruiting alone will setup the next coach very nicely. That may end up being Drinkwitz then if he excels at Mizzou. He did say Arkansas is his dream job more or less. Yes, he is a Gus protege, but he doesn't have the Gus stench on him.

This would equal our production from the previous 2 years combined. I think the search was obviously botched but worst case he fixes the lax culture of the team, stocks up the trenches with grown men and gets us in better financial shape in 3 years. Could be worse.
